About Zen-G
Zen-G was born in 1994 in Istanbul. In the early 2000s, he started listening to both local and international rap music artists and became interested in breakdancing. In 2006, he recorded his first amateur tracks, and in 2008, he formed the group Tahribad-ı İsyan with a high school friend. The group released their first music video, "Ghetto Machines," in 2012. In 2013, they gained significant attention at the Istanbul Biennial with the "Wonderland" video, a collaboration with contemporary artist Halil Altındere, which was later included in MoMA's permanent collection.
At the end of 2018, they achieved chart success with their single "Leyla," which earned them a nomination at the Golden Butterfly Awards. In September 2019, Zen-G participated in the "Susamam" project, which brought together 18 rappers to address social issues. Alongside Tahribad-ı İsyan, Zen-G performed at festivals in countries such as England, France, and Germany and took the stage at prominent venues like Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre, VW Arena, İKSV Salon, and the Swedish Consulate.
His solo career began in May 2019 with the release of his single "Abis." He continued his solo production and achieved Platinum Record success with his debut album, ZENGEBEJ.
In 2011, Zen-G started teaching hip-hop workshops for children in Sulukule, and he continues to provide lessons at private schools and various institutions to this day.
