Alp Ekici, known as Baneva, (born June 8, 2000) is recognized as one of the best artists of his generation in Turkish rap music, renowned for his unique style.
His exceptional flow, global appeal of R&B/Pop melodies, frequent use of harmonic structures, and sophisticated flair define his music. His emotions in music are intense and diverse. Alongside his strong and aggressive side, he also possesses fragile and emotional aspects. While occasionally superficial and mocking, he generally exhibits a serious and introspective approach, revealing sensitivity to his inner world.
In 2018, he released his debut official work, which remained on Spotify Turkey's Viral 2 for an extended period. In 2019, his flow and satire in YSIV Remix officially proved his unique talent to the Turkish rap community. In 2020, "Hiçbiri" produced one of the era's best videos and, despite its controversial reception, spent two weeks in Spotify's Top 50.
In 2021, he released his debut album, showcasing that Baneva's artistry extends beyond rap alone. From 2021 to 2023, he independently released 7 singles. The long-awaited collaboration with Ceza came to fruition in June 2023.
On December 1, 2023, his second solo album "BLEND," entirely produced by ulas, was released. Nominated for album of the year across various platforms, "BLEND" set a new standard in Turkish rap with its global sound, becoming a benchmark for many listeners.
