About Joker
Born in 1987 in the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir, Joker (Mete Erpek) was introduced to Hip Hop culture at the age of 14 and initially engaged in graffiti. In 2001, he recorded his first demos. Throughout his career, he released significant albums such as "Rhymestein," "Yaşamak Öldürür," "Microphone Show," "Element," and "Game Over." In 2011-2012, he earned accolades in freestyle competitions. With an active music career spanning over 20 years, he not only created his own music but also contributed to the industry as a producer, sound engineer, and vocal coach, establishing himself behind the scenes.
In 2014, he took the helm of his own studio, Hiphopjobz, which became a creative hub for numerous musicians. He broke new ground by curating his most acclaimed series, "Jokzilla" and "King Size," into collections. Joker also became the first Turkish rap artist to professionally cover Ceza's iconic song "Med Cezir." With his "Çocuklar" trilogy and the single “DPRM,” he addressed pressing social issues in Turkey and worldwide.
In 2020, he rebranded his Hiphopjobz studio with a new team, fostering innovative ideas in music and video production in Eskişehir. During his tenure with DokuzSekiz Müzik and Sony Music, he released two mainstream albums and numerous singles. By the end of 2022, he became the most-streamed rap artist of the year under DMC. In 2024, he released his eighth studio album, "Inflowencer," marking the first major album of the year.
